Concepts Covered

Ratios happen when there are two or more quantities related. Ratios can have the same units (ratios) or different units (rates). The term ratio can be used for the same and different units as well. Percent means per 100. Percent is a ratio of part compared to 100. To find the percent of a number multiply that number by p/100 where p is the percent. Solve for the whole given a part and the percent by cross multiplying and dividing. Calculate percent increase, percent decrease, and percent error. Calculate simple interest.
