Concepts Covered

The rule for multiplying or dividing signed numbers is positive x negative = negative, negative x positive = negative, and negative x negative = positive. When expressing division as fractions the entire term is considered negative. Use rules for integers to multiply any signed rational numbers.

Multiplication and division of signed numbers can have more than 2 terms. Multiplication and division of multiple signed numbers follow the rule of an even number of negative signed numbers will yield a positive product or quotient and an odd number of negatives will yield a negative product or quotient.
