Concepts Covered

Fractions with a denominator of 10 or 100 are called decimal fractions. Convert fractions with a denominator of 10 to a fraction with a denominator of 100 by multiplying by 10/10. Understanding of decimal fractions is often expressed as monetary (ex: 4/10 can be modeled with 4 dimes). When adding two decimal fractions you must first convert to the same denominator.
