In this series of games, your students will learn to add and subtract within 1000 using concrete models, drawings, and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction. The Add and Subtract Within 1000 learning objective — based on CCSS and state standards — delivers improved student engagement and academic performance in your classroom, as demonstrated by research. This learning objective directly references 2.NBT.B.7 as written in the common core national math standards.

Concepts Covered

Add and subtract within 1000 using concrete models, drawings, and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction. Relate the strategy to a written method. Understand that when adding or subtracting three-digit numbers, one adds or subtracts hundreds and hundreds, tens and tens, ones and ones.
