  • Robo Ready is updated with minor bug fixes and a shortened tutorial, so you can jump right in to saving Robolandia from natural hazards!   
  • Lunar Snap  is updated so the number of required captures submitted for each lunar phase is only 1 instead of 2. A button has been added to the top left corner of the mission view that toggles a panel that will display a labeled image of each moon phase. Amy the Astronaut now sends messages highlighting and briefly explaining the time slider, photo filter buttons, and end mission button as a tutorial.
  • Save the Fish  has received performance optimizing upgrades and bug fixes. Help the fish escape his bowl and travel through the sewers using the states of matter!
  • DocDuck: Scientific Method offers an improved tutorial and is optimized for better game performance. Join DocDuck on his quest through space and discover the scientific method
  • Little Newton in The Energy of Motion  now has text to speech, can save game playthroughs, and offer Spanish. It also has more new sound effects! Little Newton will learn new skills that help them get through each level. Solve kinetic energy related puzzles and complete all six levels to return Newton to their home.
  • Little Newton in The Force of Energy   now has text to speech, saves progress checkpoints, and offers a Spanish translation. The game’s user interface has been upgraded, extra puzzles h added, and the game was shortened from 8 levels to 6. Help Little Newton find their way home by guiding them to the end of the level using energy, and avoid the obstacles!

Math Games for Summer Fun! — June 2022

School may be out for the summer, but learning is still in! Play these math games to stay sharp while on break!

New in Grades 3-5

  • Help the mathematical denizens of the galaxy apprehend the Scion, a greedy robot who refuses to learn multiplication, in Multiplication Mastermind! Use your newly found multiplication knowledge to help aliens, capture the Scion, and teach him how to multiply! Find Multiplication Mastermind featured further on in this post. 

Updates to Existing Games in Grades 3-5

  • The Numberlings – Multiplying Mayhem  has been updated to include checkpoint saving for students who need to resume their session at a later time. Help the numberlings use multiplication to fend off the alien spaceships of the Disorderly Empire. Find the Numberlings – Multiplying Mayhem featured later in this post.
  • Bean Tarts  has received various user interface, vocabulary, and math best practices fixes to be more similar to how students learn advanced addition and subtraction in the classroom. Use additions and subtractions to defend from your opponents in bakery disputes and restore world peace. 
  • The Carpet Merchant has been updated to allow students to review a tutorial before answering advanced questions. There are also minor bug fixes and improvements. Help the carpet merchant cut, stitch, and sell various fractional carpet amounts to customers!

Recommendation for Grade 6-8

There are so many joy-bearing holidays in May, and they all truly give us some warm weather vibes. Let’s carry that energy into your classroom with all of these math games bound to give your students some joy!

New In Grades 3-5

  • Help the president of the legumes nation avoid starting an all out bakery conflict by making amends with other legume leaders in Bean Tarts! Using addition and subtraction, draft a standing bean protective force and train them to safeguard the nation.   • Help The Carpet Merchant fulfill customers’ orders using just fractions and a pair of scissors. Cut, stitch, and sew together whole new carpets using fractional pieces that have different sizes and denominators! Everyone could use a fine carpet, and your business is booming!   • Pirates Of Learning: The Mysterious Island – Billy’s quest for treasure on the mysterious island has been updated to feature epic new animations and effects as he battles the dastardly ghost pirate captain Grasping using multiplication!
  • The Rounding Balloon Shop! – Join Dots  the frog on a quirky adventure to save her pond from the misguided Sun, using rounding skills! This game has been entirely redone to be more exciting and interactive for players. This game update also features a more accurate Spanish translation for a more polished experience for Spanish language players.
  • Rounding With Tom’s art has been reworked to be more appealing and kid friendly, adding a friendly pet shop. Help Tom run his many stores using rounding like never before.  All kinds of cute pets have also been added, because who doesn’t love animals. There are also some bug fixes to enhance the performance of the game.
