Science Games - What's New

The cool weather has hit a lot of the US, which means we’re releasing some cool new things inside of our platform. Take a look at these new science classroom games that have launched in our Learning Universe for your students. If you missed last month’s new games you can take a look at September’s update here.

Before we dive in, here’s a quick reminder that all of our new games are mentioned first with a few highlighted below with images and in-depth information about them.

New in Grades 3-5

  • Become an Astropilot, collect photons, avoid asteroids, and use your laser to defeat the enemies while learning more about Electromagnetic Radiation. Find Mix it! featured further on in this post.

New Games in Grades 6-8

  • Use your knowledge of The Water Cycle to help Walter and Windy to reach the ocean. Find Walter Wet – The Water Droplet featured further on in this post.
  • Join Detective Moles in his quest to find his friend, Chase, while learning more about Pure Substances. Find Sherlock Moles Investigates: Pure Substances featured further on in this post.
  • Explore the ocean, volcanoes, and the Tectonic Temple to unravel the mysteries of Plate Tectonics in Agent Barkley and the Tectonic Temple.
  • Learn how to apply Chemical Reactions to brew potions and learn about the physical and chemical properties of compounds in It’s Not Witchery.
  • You’re in charge… our body depends on you! Operate organs, fight against bacteria, and learn how Multicellular Organisms and their Subsystems work in Multi-Cell Inc.
  • Have fun playing and learning how Factors Influencing Growth of Individuals and Populations impact our environment in this eco-board game – EcoQuest: Interactions in Ecosystems.
  • Connect our internal bodily systems to make our body function! Learn how Multicellular Organisms and their Subsystems interact in Our Human City.
  • Help the King protect his castle from the mischievous Jester! Learn the basics of Equal and Opposite Reactions: Newton’s Third Law in The Jester’s Action and The King’s Reaction.

Mix It! — Elementary Science (Electromagnetic Radiation)

Walter Wet – The Water Droplet — Middle Science (The Water Cycle)

Help Walter and Windy journey through the water cycle in 14 exciting levels! Master all the water states and transitions to reach the Ocean together. This game can be played in pairs or as a single player, 1 character at a time.

 

Sherlock Moles Investigates: Pure Substances — Middle Science (Pure Substances)

Sherlock Moles is writing a paper about Pure Substances when a mysterious letter arrives. Chase, a friend, has turned up missing! Help Moles hunt for clues and locate Chase while learning about Pure Substances.
