Welcome back to a new school year! We’re launching these new science classroom games in our Learning Universe for your students. If you missed last month’s new games you can take a look at August’s update here.

New in Grades K-2
- Travel with the alien Tiny to our planet, Earth, and use water to learn more about Living and Nonliving Things. Find Tiny’s Journey featured further on in this post.
New Games in Grades 6-8
- Visit the planetarium and resolve Mino’s doubts about the Lunar Phases by choosing the right moon in every stage. Find Learn Moon Phases featured further on in this post.
- Scratch, scratch and learn about Plate Tectonics and how they form the Earth’s crust. Find Itchy Earth featured further on in this post.
- Play different mini-games and challenges inside of a human body to understand how the Multicellular Organisms and their Subsystems work in Body Quest: Multicellular Subsystems.

Tiny’s Journey — Elementary Science (Living and Nonliving Things)
Game screenshot and description:
Tiny travels to planet Earth to understand the difference between living and non-living beings. On her journey, Tiny discovers new ecosystems and meets new friends. Help Tiny find out what makes things alive, their differences, and how to classify them. Catalog the differences between living and non-living beings in Tiny’s diary to reinforce your learning.
Learn Moon Phases — Middle Science (Lunar Phases)

The game starts with a conversation between Mito and Mino. Mito and Mino are friends. Mino gets doubts on why the Moon is looking different each day. Mito takes Mino to a Planetarium and solves all of Mino’s doubts by explaining Lunar phases with a practical model. Then comes the gameplay part which is divided into 3 levels. Mino has to win each level by using the learnings he got in the initial part.
Itchy Earth — Middle Science (Plate Tectonics)

In this game we explore the Earth and the different plate tectonics from space, reconstructing Earth like a puzzle. In the later stages we meet the fictional Rocky Massagers, creatures that ease the pressure points on plate boundaries.
