Concepts Covered

The solar industry is growing quickly with lots of opportunities for high-paying jobs in the green economy.

Successful solar installations require preparation and understanding of the key tools and equipment used at the job site.  The workday begins in the warehouse where you check to make sure you have the right tools and equipment to perform a job and that your vehicle is clean and ready.  Next, you travel to the job site and learn best practices of customer service and how to properly communicate with customers.

On-site installation begins with a review of safety protocols covering ladder placement to roof harnesses.  Then, the system design must be verified and possibly adjusted before installing the racking, solar modules, inverters, disconnects, and other equipment.  Installation techniques cover microinverter, power optimizer, and string inverter systems.  At the end of the installation, the system is connected to the grid and you produce clean energy that harnesses the power of the sun.

Are you ready to be a part of the clean energy future?
