Concepts Covered

Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares. Describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe the whole as two or four of the shares. Understand for these examples that decomposing into more equal shares creates smaller shares.

Cake Partition Estimated Duration: 13 minutes It's a party and the mathling kids all want to have cake! However, the kids want certain amounts of specific toppings on their cake slices. Help them out by dragging a topping to a slice of cake until it matches what the kids want. Replace the wrong toppings with a new topping to change what topping is on that cake slice. Each kid wants their own toppings so make sure everything is divided into equal parts!

Each monster that you release and unlock will be available to play with in the next level, in the search for the next monster. In your journey, you’ll be able to find power-ups, like ‘Double points’ and ‘Slow down’, which can be activated by finding gems, and their duration can be extended by correctly answering a question. Unlock and release the 10 different monsters and a spaceship along 10 different levels, while you make the most possible points.
