Compare Two Multi-Digit Whole Numbers Math Games

Concepts Covered

To read numerals between 1,000 and 1,000,000, each sequence of three digits made by commas is read as hundreds, tens, ones followed by the name of the appropriate base-thousand unit. In the base 10 system, the value of each place is 10 times the value of the place to the immediate right. Compare two numbers by closely looking at place value. Show comparisons using <, >, and = where > is used to denote the value on the left is greater and < is used to show the value on the right is greater. Interpret number names to a numeral based number. Convert between expanded form, number names, and numerals. Write in written form. After converting between expanded form, number names, and numerals, compare numbers based on place value.
