Write Inequalities Math Games

4 games

In this series of games, your students will learn how to write an inequality to represent a constraint or condition. The Write Inequalities learning objective — based on CCSS and state standards — delivers improved student engagement and academic performance in your classroom, as demonstrated by research. This learning objective directly references 6.EE.B.8 as written in the common core national math standards.

Concepts Covered

Express constraints from real world context as an inequality. Determine whether a variable refers to a specific number or all numbers in a domain. All given variables that are represented by the same letter have the same value and can be added or subtracted. The variable represents all the solutions that satisfy the inequality. Fractions and decimals can be used in the problems. Represent solutions on a number line.

The inequalities x>c or x<c, have all of the solutions greater or less than c and so have infinitely many solutions.
